An Amendment Paper of 50+ pages on the Employment Rights Bill has a few changes from Government, here they are:
Extending the time limit for bringing all tribunal claims from 3 months to 6 months ( a significant change and wasn’t mentioned before).
The ‘initial period of employment’ for the purposes of unfair dismissal becoming a day one entitlement must be between 3 and 9 months.
A variety of changes relating to guaranteed hours continue to remain complex. Changes to the rules on payments of cancelled, moved or curtailed shifts at short notice, give the tribunal discretion, to make an award of choice and severity.
Adding to Gender Equality menstrual problems/disorders with employers perhaps being required to produce equality action plan.
There are other proposals:
A non-disclosure agreement that prevents a worker from making a disclosure about harassment/sexual as void.
A worker or dependent contractor agreement that won’t have ‘substitution’ clauses
