Revolutionising Employee Health through Comprehensive Nutrition and Resilience Programmes

In today’s busy and ever evolving corporate landscape, the wellbeing of employees is paramount. As companies strive to create supportive and thriving work environments, a focus on holistic health solutions has emerged as a key productivity enabler. We are excited to introduce our new comprehensive nutrition and resilience programs tailored specifically for employers and their teams.

The Importance of Gut Health

Gut health is increasingly recognised as a cornerstone of overall wellness. The gut microbiome, home to trillions of bacteria, plays a crucial role in the body, including  digestion, immune response and even mental health. Poor gut health has been linked to a host of issues such as fatigue, stress, decreased productivity and sick absence all of which can impact an employee's performance and satisfaction at work.

Benefits to Employers

Investing in the health of your employees yields significant returns. Healthier employees are more productive, have more focus, take fewer sick days and contribute to a more positive work environment.

As an added benefit within your corporate brand, this will interest and attract new recruits to your business. Our nutrition and gut health programs not only improve individual health outcomes but also enhance overall workplace morale and efficiency.

Our Solution

A program which offers a multi-faceted approach to enhancing gut health and nutrition among employees. As much as gut health is crucial to improving overall health, a more generic Nutrition and health coaching service targeted at empowering employees to take control of their own health can prove more beneficial.

By partnering with us, employers can provide their workforce with access to personalised nutrition plans, educational workshops and regular health assessments, all designed to foster a healthier, more productive workplace.

Hilary Abbott Nutrition Expert

Hilary J Abbott -

I'm a dedicated nutrition expert, registered with the Federation of Nutritional Therapy Practitioners (FNTP). I work with individuals, small groups and organisations to empower people to take control of their health through nutrition essentials, creating healthy lifestyle habits, and an empowered mindset for lasting change.

My Nutrition and Health Coaching business has naturally evolved, combining my educational background in Psychology and Occupational Psychology, with a colourful background as a Private Chef, catering to some of the worlds most discerning palates, and a passion for nutrition and healthy living.

As a nutrition professional, I passionately believes that it’s never too late to transform your health, no matter how you are feeling. Eating well can easily be scheduled into a busy schedule without overhauling your life or adding extra stress.

“Good health is good business”, is central to my corporate wellness programs and strategies. When organisations support their employees and give them the tools and resources they need to achieve their optimum health, productivity within the organisation increases, absenteeism rates decline, and the results speak for themselves.

Sophie Cartledge - Menopause expert

Sophie Cartledge -

Menopause and nutrition, what’s the connection?

One of the ways we can have some control on our wellbeing both to support menopause symptoms such as brain fog, weight gain, bloating and hot flushes as well as benefiting our future health,  is through our diet.

Our dietary needs in our 40’s and 50’s are quite different to those in our 20’s. Hormonal changes such as menopause can come with increased risk of type 2 diabetes and heart disease, perhaps indicating that eating the right food has never been so important. So what is the RIGHT food? Is there a SPECIAL diet? Should we restrict what we eat?

According to neuroscientist Dr Lisa Misconi, the best kind of food for Women going through menopause is the Mediterranean diet. Packed full of fresh veg, fruit and healthy fats. It is time to think about nutrition and food, not in terms of restricting what we can’t have but giving our body what it needs at the time. A variety of different coloured foods is key to supporting our gut health and microbiome, where approximately 70% of our immune system is made up.  A healthy gut also helps support our hormones and can help keep our brain feeling sharp, thanks to the gut brain connection. It is a truly fascinating topic and one that can be easily overlooked.

This is why understanding the key role that nutrition plays in our health and wellbeing is so important when it comes to menopause and why this topic is covered in our workshops.  Giving employees the opportunity to take control of their own wellbeing is both empowering for them and has short and long term benefits within the workplace.

Bryan Palmer - Mental Health Expert

Bryan Palmer -

"I found this article in the Guardian incredibly interesting:

About one in six people in the UK experience mental health challenges in the workplace, with 12.7% of all sick days attributed to mental ill health.

A separate study recently found that mental health training for line managers could save companies millions of pounds in lost sick days every year.

Organisations offering managers mental wellness training experienced better customer service, improved employee retention and recruitment, and reduced long-term sickness absence, according to the study published this month in the journal Plos One.

The findings showed mental health training was associated with better business performance and may “hold strategic business value for companies”.

Prof Holly Blake, from the University of Nottingham, who led the study, said: “Mental ill health at work is costly to organisations in terms of sickness absence and lost productivity.

“To our knowledge, this is the first study to show that training line managers in mental health is linked to better business outcomes. This is an important finding that strengthens the business case for why employers should invest in mental health at work.”
